Ethan is a PhD candidate in the Cybersecurity Department at the University of Tulsa (TU) and a TU Cyber Fellow. He is studying blockchain security economics and financial risk in cryptocurrency markets under the supervision of Dr Eric Olson and Dr Neil Gandal. Prior to his time at TU, Ethan completed a Master of Science in Mathematics and Physics at King’s College London and a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Northwestern University. He has applied mathematical modeling, machine learning, and statistical analytics to contribute to publications across a variety of interdisciplinary fields. Ethan’s research interests lie in exploring quantitative financial modeling, including forecasting, risk quantification, and the economics of blockchain technologies.
