Samantha Phillips is a Cyber Studies PhD student, and her research is supported through the Cyber Fellows initiative. She received her M.S in Cybersecurity and B.S.B.A in Computer Information Systems from The University of Tulsa. She has been an executive officer for the TU Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) organization since Fall 2021, a member of TU’s Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC) team since Spring 2021, and a member of TU’s Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition (CPTC) team since Fall 2021. Her research interests revolve around the humanistic aspects of cybersecurity, in particular her PhD research is focused on assessing organizational information security culture. Outside of course work, research, and cyber club extracurriculars, Samantha enjoys spending time with her dogs, Remy and Rex.
