Gerardo Vera is a Ph.D. student for Cyber Studies at the University of Tulsa. His background includes an engineering degree in Mechanical an Industrial Automation Engineering from the Universidad Privada del Valle in Bolivia and a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Tulsa. Gerardo also enjoys technical/practical work which reinforces and enhances his academic knowledge. Gerardo is working on the development of a low-cost methane leaks detection and quantification system, and he is approaching this from the practical side.
