Hawken is a doctoral student in the School of Cyber Studies at The University of Tulsa (TU) under the supervision of Dr. John Hale. His principal research and technical interests are in XR, Digital Twins, and Smart Installations. While as a PhD student at TU, he continues to teach Cyber Security, Information Assurance, and Unmanned Aircraft Systems at Rogers State University. He received his bachelor’s degree in Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Oklahoma in 2008 and his master’s degree in Information Warfare Systems Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School in 2018. Hawken retired from the United States Marine Corps after 20 years of service and worked within the fields of Signals Intelligence, Air Traffic Control, and Information Operations.
