2023 Corcoran Award: When the COVID-19 pandemic hit colleges and universities in the United States in March 2020, AIChE’s Education Division rapidly formed virtual communities of practice (VCPs) to support faculty as they dealt with their new teaching situations. Dr. Ford co-led the VCP for labs with Tracy Carter and Jennifer Pascal. The Division organizers and leaders of the VCPs wrote a paper for Chemical Engineering Education, which was selected for the 2023 Corcoran Award for the best paper published in Chemical Engineering Education in the previous year. The paper is available at https://doi.org/10.18260/2-1-370.660-125282.

Dr. Ford was not able to attend the award ceremony, so there are no pictures of her being recognized with the team. Below is an award announcement from the ASEE Chemical Engineering Division’s newsletter with the whole team.
