Plenary Speaker
Megan Porter, PhD from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa is our 2024 Plenary Speaker. Dr. Porter is interested in the evolution of visual systems in marine invertebrates. From complex eyes to eye loss, bioluminescence, and the many opsins along the way, the Porter lab expands our knowledge of this critical system.

Friday Evening Social
Join us at Mother Road Market, Oklahoma’s premier food hall, for an evening of socializing with old and new faces. Get to know your colleagues in the Mid-South Region and maybe form a new collaboration or two (or just eat some really good chicken).
