We’re proud to announce that 24 Fellows completed the TIFT program—a 33% increase from last year. This year’s cohort represents several grade levels and school sites– 6 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, and 6 high schools. Twelve of our Fellows are mid-career and veteran teachers at TPS, 7 are in their first three years of teaching in the district, and the remaining 5 are new to the district.

Beginning in fall semester, TIFT Fellows attended 15 meetings over the course of the academic year. These meetings included regular seminars with TPS colleagues and TU faculty, and work sessions designed to help with the unit writing process. After the several stages of the curriculum unit writing process, TIFT Fellows created long-form, researched curriculum units to be used in their classrooms. The units created by each Fellow will be uploaded on our curriculum unit database, available for teachers everywhere to use.
