Lab Coordinator 2022-2026

“Broadly, I am interested in understanding risk and protective factors to inform treatment planning. I am particularly interested in working with queer populations. My pre-candidacy project investigated predictors of initiation, persistence, and benefit in our clinical trials. I am currently working on my dissertation proposal with plans to understand sleep as a suicide risk factor for queer people.”

Graduate Researchers

Brianna Roblow-Law, MA (bcr8538@utulsa.edu)

“My research interests center on childhood and adolescent development, specifically how early life adversity and trauma impact developmental pathways. I am particularly interested in how these experiences influence emotional, social, and psychological outcomes (e.g., emotional regulation, attachment, mental health), as well as risk and resilience factors. I am also passionate about exploring interventions that support healthy development in the face of early adversity.”

Sydney Haskin, BA, BS (seh2368@utulsa.edu)

“Broadly, I am interested in trauma and resilience in youth and young adults, with a special emphasis on Jewish individuals and communities.”

Chloe Martinez, BA (cmm6706@utulsa.edu)

“As I join the SPARTA Lab at TU, my research interests focus on interpersonal trauma, cognitive responses, and the role of sleep disturbances in worsening mental health outcomes. I aim to explore how disrupted sleep may intensify trauma-related symptoms and contribute to long-term impairments in emotional regulation and cognitive functioning.”

Lilly Whitley, BS (lfw8808@utulsa.edu)

“I am inspired to pursue a career as a clinical psychologist, with a focus on developing treatment strategies for depression, performance anxiety, crisis intervention, sleep deprivation, nightmares, OCD, PTSD, and grief. I am highly interested in working with athletes, as I was a Division 1 college golfer during my undergrad years. More specifically, I am interested in studying how OCD, anxiety, depression, self-worth, and perfectionism affect individuals’ performances, perceptions of themselves, and overall quality of life.”
