Hannah Moua
“As a non-psych major (English and Media Studies), I really enjoyed my time in the TACTS lab. There was a learning curve for sure, but I was able to get a different perspective on so many things that I’ve learned from my other classes! The lab and its members were a great help and were happy to explain everything that I didn’t know or had yet to learn about statistics, surveys, and everything psychology. In addition, I got to gain research experience (even presented at a regional psychology conference!) and share my own related knowledge regarding journalism, which is the target of many of their research projects. There is a growing union between the science and the arts within this lab, and I want to encourage anyone who feels as if they can’t participate in research just because they don’t have a background in psychology to take a chance with yourself and your academic abilities!”
